Computer Programming (2023-24)
During the 2023-24 year, we have developed strong bonds with a group of 8 kids from the Deep Pooja School in Bhilai, India and taught them the language of C++ from scratch. The kids have been able to learn and grow from this experience and code simple projects in C++ after having no previous experience using programming languages whatsoever.
This story went as far as to be featured in the Hitavid and the Dainik Bhakshar newspapers, the largest Hindi and English newspapers in Chattisgarh. A video covering our year is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXtasgVGwzI
Robotics (2024-25)
We are currently in the process of helping a team from Bhilai compete in the First Lego League competition, now being hosted in India! We shipped over an FLL kit in August after raising enough money to purchase one.
We have selected a team of 25 students to make their own robot. The team is making amazing progress in building and coding the robot after the classes we had with them! Our team is extremely proud of what these kids are capable of, and wish them nothing but the best.
Robotics (2025-26)
With 20 new kids signing up for the program, we have raised an additional $600 for new FLL kits to be sent to Bhilai. We are planning on having the kids compete in real FLL tournaments this season.
We are also mentoring new teachers to help expand AceScholar to more schools and students.
